Samode Palace, Jaipur




The Samode Haveli is one of the ancient building of the ‘Pink city’, Jaipur. This Haveli is about 150 years old and was built by Rawal Sheo Singhji. He was the prime minster of those time in the Jaipur court and belonged to the Samode family. This majestic old mansion is adorned with beautiful courtyard, gardens and terraces. The inner courtyard of the haveli was built and used as the manor house of yhe royal family of Samode.
The samode Haveli is one of the major attractions of Jaipur. This haveli is north facing, thus avoiding the harsh sun and remains cool. The airy verandahs of Samode haveli provides best refreshing location to the tourists. In 1988 this historical haveli was converted into a luxurious hotel with all modern amenities. The luxurious antique furniture and original art work, today, the haveli stands as a reminder of the glorious past of the Samode family.
The Samde Haveli has a warm and friendly atmosphere, with fabulous frescoes and murals, and with a leafy garden. The tourists simply love the local crafts bazaar, which offers an array of items like blue pottery, hand block print, embroidery, jewelery etc. The beautifully painted dinning halls of the haveli is really admirable.

Samode Haveli is just 17 kms away from Sananer Airport, 6 kms away from railway station and just 4 kms from Sindhi Bus Stand. Tourist can easily reach Samode Haveli without much problem.

Govind Dev ji      As the name suggests, this temple is of Lord Govind Dev ji - The original idol of Lord Goivnd Dev ji was found by the follower of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu named Roop Goswami about 450 years ago. It is said that Maharaja Sawai Jai singh installed the idol after it was brought from Vrindavan when Mughal ruler Aurangzeb tried to destroy it.
